We stayed at Sunset Pond cabin and had an excellent experience. The ranch is fantastic and our stay felt secluded. The cabin itself felt new and nice. I'm not sure if it hadn't rained in a while, but the pond was rather dry and meager, but we still fully enjoyed our stay. The picnic and dinner were excellent.
Me and my family had a wonderful time at this beautiful ranch! Me, my mom, dad and niece spent the weekend at Blisswood and it was such a great bonding experience. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a weekend getaway. The stars are stunning and the house was absolutely lovely. Everything from the perfectly folded towels to the stickers on the toilet paper rolls made the experience so authentic and still very pristine. The stunning victorian details throughout the house really make you feel like you're transported to a simpler time. It was so nice to get away from the city and truly unwind and spend time with the ones I love. Sitting on the porch with my family and watching the sunset is something I will remember and cherish forever. This house was so meticulous, I took a leisurely jacuzzi bath and slept like a baby on the fluffy white pillows. Waking up and sipping coffee on the porch is truly a memory I will never forget. (Sorry for the wine glass by the bathtub I probably wasn't supposed to do that)
We always enjoy our stay at BlissWood. We fished, we walked the beautiful mature oak lined path to one of the ponds, and we swung on the porch just outside our cabin. The coy pond in front of our cabin provided hours of entertainment for our dogs too as they ran from one side to the other trying to get a good look at the fish (being city dogs they've never seen them before!). It's so peaceful, relaxing and rejuvenating. And of course we had reservations at Carol's restaurant where we had a delightful dinner of steak and fresh vegetables. I highly recommend this home away from home authentic ranch, beautiful place!
We stayed here at the Bluebonnet cabin, about a couple weeks after Harvey hit and it was pure heaven. It was quiet, relaxing and beautiful, with so many animals just grazing about it. It really is amazing to think that it's just an hour away from Houston. We also were so impressed with the care shown by the staff. My friend and I were taking a long walk to a picnic and one of the caretakers brought us a golf cart. We took a leisurely horseback riding trip through the ranch that was so much fun. Every request we had was met to more than our satisfaction. We are definitely going to return!
We stayed in the Loft suite and it was beyond wonderful. The accommodations and entire property are so beautiful. I would recommend to anyone wanting a romantic relaxing getaway. We will be back soon!
I have changed my review to 5 stars. Carol was very prompt and responsive when I emailed regarding the electrical issue and had everything checked out. I appreciate the level of service. Would definitely come to Blisswood again!
Would rate 5 stars, but we did have both our phone chargers ruined by what appears to be a problem with one of the electrical outlets we used.
